Assessment

What is your reaction to the text you just read or viewed? Unique exploration of a future where you can grow a horse like a Magic Grow Dinosaur from the 2000's. Interesting use of dialogue and internal monologue as a character prepares their horse for the horse competition. The emotional toll of the endeavor and physical increase or decrease of your character are described in a disturbed and almost alien manner. The concept feels like it takes place a few distance years ahead of us and is meant to show the impact of drugs and prescriptions, both on your character and their use of a Dexobrimadine drip everyday, and the hormones, nutrients and other injections given to your horse larva. Feels very comedic but tragic. What connections did you make with the story that you read? Discuss the elements of the work of which you were able to connect. I was able to connect to the ticking clock of a deadline present in the game. Your character is given 20 days to grow, raise, train, and de

Planet Visualization Project: Panorama

Image
This is the Panorama for my Planet Visualization Project. My goals for this were to take a part of my map and make a view of it from the planet itself. I chose to pull the camera out and show it from far away to show the scale of the landscape and creatures that inhabit it. This planet has reptile-like creatures similar to dinosaurs that coexist with the human-like creatures. These creatures are massive in size, and even the herbivorous animals pose a threat to the human-likes by their size alone. The human-likes live underground mostly, only coming out for hunting and farming. This landscape, while simple, hopefully shows the growth of wildlife and the connection between creatures inhabiting  it, large and small. As with the Planet Skin, I will be showing the progress checks that were taken during the creation of this assignment. Progress Check 1: This was the first screenshot taken of the project, and was taken after the sketch was done but the landscape was not yet drawn.

Planet Visualization Project: Planet Skin

Image
This is my custom planet skin for the Planet Project. I used numerous resources to create this, largely pulling from our own planet earth for reference in creating this along with world maps from games such as World of Warcraft and Dungeons and Dragons. I am not well versed in planetary studies or geography, and had a lot of trouble making the planet unique and still having it be realistic. Even after the research done, I chose to keep the planet similar to our own, with a few alterations that would add a unique look to it as well as something that would keep it different from other planetary projects. The final addition added to this map was the Maelstrom in the center of the continents, and this was added for the reason of a unique planetary landmark other than the different continental shapes. I had several iterations on this map, and will show the progress down below that shows the change in color and details that I chose to add. Progress Check 1: The first iteration, mos

Wizard of Oz Worldbuilding Map

Image
For this assignment, I chose Shutter Town of the Munchkin Country as my small village to make a map of. I viewed this town as very interesting as they're is not much information of it throughout Baums work or in the subsequent novels released in or out of canon. Even after reading and researching, only small pieces of lore and one drawn image exist of the town or its inhabitants. I used this image, and what I read as my foundation along with the maps  provided by this site:         https://oz.fandom.com/wiki/Maps_of_Oz?file=Club_map.jpg Shutter Town is a town located in the Munchkin Country. Its inhabitants are known as the Shutter Faces,  a race of people who have shutters attached to their faces to keep anyone from seeing them or from seeing or hearing anything. They are shut-ins and prefer to be left alone, both from outsiders and from each other. The Shutter Faces live below ground, rarely coming out from outside of their homes, with the only landmark
